Operations built for growth

Getting owners out of the weeds with structure and building blocks that reduce bottlenecks and unlock results.

I'm Kristina Boss. Before Interlock, I spent nineteen years leading operations in growing businesses — ten in a large corporation, and nine as the operations strategy and execution partner to founders through 7x growth.

A few examples of the work:

Scaling a retailer from regional to ten-state footprint.

The work spanned planning systems, performance and coaching infrastructure, field leadership and HQ org design, store opening operations including location selection and tenant buildout, short and long term business planning models, budgeting and cash discipline, all built in stages as the business grew 7x.

Customer records on paper across a multi-state business.

Client intake was stored on paper files and in a siloed app. I built an internal team and led a Salesforce CRM build, working with the team to design and ship a platform and App with POS system integration and analytics through Tableau. After licensing to other franchisees in the system — the franchisor acquired the IP and the system now runs in 300+ locations nationwide.

Common situations and how I help.

  • Sales and business development are happening, but not in a structured, consistent way.

Processes built around your customer, so selling becomes a repeatable part of how your business runs.

  • Your team is growing, and labor costs with it, but the way it's set up hasn't been reviewed in a while.

Mapping the team to the business — the right roles, the right org design, hiring, onboarding, and performance structures that hold once people are in seats.

  • Most things still run through you, even with good people in place.

A defined way for decisions to get made and work to move forward without depending on you for every step.

  • You have business and financial data, but it's not telling you what to do next.

Clarity on what the business needs to track, what the numbers are telling you, and where the next growth opportunities are.

  • The same problems keep coming up, and your team keeps solving things from scratch.

Operating frameworks, decision guardrails, and the standards underneath them — so the team is working from shared judgment, not redoing the same thinking.

  • The business has been steady for a while, and what's holding the next stage back isn't obvious.

A full walk-through of the operation — how the business is running, where the money's going, and where the constraints actually are — with a clear read on what to work on first.

Two ways to work together.

  • An ongoing partnership where I work as the operational lead inside your business — in your meetings, on your team, accountable for the work alongside you. We scope what I'm focused on based on what's most pressing, and the shape of the engagement changes as the business does. Built to make your business stronger.

  • A defined piece of work with a clear scope, timeline, and finish line — an operational assessment, an org build, a system implementation, a financial model, transition planning. Right for when there's a specific thing to get done, or to see what it’s like working with me.

30 minutes, let’s talk about the business.
